Sketchbook. Updating my online sketchbook is an ongoing process. Of course, it would help if I drew more frequently.
Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates, Island Design: December 12, 2004, and ongoing. When Three Rings Design released their island editing tools to the public and then held a contest to find designers for their new oceans, I knew I had to enter the contest. My contest-winning island became Kirin Island in the Cobalt and Viridian oceans. This link takes you to my official YPP Wiki entry; that way I'm guaranteed not to release information on this website before the players find my islands in-game.
Lyralia: September 14, 2004. Lyralia is a game I made with the Warcraft III World Editor. It's currently in beta,
but I'm not actively developing it further at the moment. I designed the game to include a couple of features I thought would be good for larger MMO fantasy RPG's.
Lanterns: April 30, 2004. I made these lanterns because I couldn't find any that I liked when I went shopping.
Dr. Oblivion Party: April 30, 2004. Dr. Oblivion hosted a spy-themed party. Austin Powers, eat your heart out.
Same-Sex Marriage LetterFebruary 25, 2004. I wrote this letter after President Bush officially announced his support for an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would ban same-sex marriages. I sent the letter to my legislators in the House and the Senate. I also sent copies to President Bush himself, Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, where I grew up, and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Interestingly, Arnold publicly shifted his position shortly afterward, although I'm not sure whether it was my letter or the massive protests in Sacramento that made the difference. This is a good read (I think).
Disco Mermaids: June 20, 2003. These mermaids were a gift from Karen and used to sit on my desk at work. They are rad beyond belief!
This sections has all of my miscellaneous projects that don't fit neatly into one of the other categories. I used to have separate links on the main site for writing, projects, and the sketchbook, but I ended up with several pages that only had a few items in each one. I am doing what I can to consolidate the pages and keep them in choronological order, but it's a challenge.
Some of these pages may not follow the same layout as the rest of the site. I'm doing what I can, but I suspect that some of them, especially the Lyralia page, simply may not ever make it into the new layout. If you are looking for something you've seen on the site before, chances are that it's now filed here under projects. If you can't find it, please feel free to contact me. Thanks! |
